How leasing a car from abroad works
With leasing, the car is formally bought by the leasing company, and you use it and pay it off. When the seller is in another country, the purchase abroad, the documents and the import to Croatia must comply with the leasing company's terms.
You arrange the lease directly with the leasing company. We help you: we advise, recommend leasing companies if you wish, provide the vehicle data the leasing company needs and align the contract with the seller and the payment with the leasing terms, while preparing transport and paperwork in the meantime.
VAT when importing a car on lease
With leasing, the car is bought by a legal entity (the leasing company or an intermediary), not by you as a private person. Therefore Croatian VAT (25%) is charged on the net price of a car in the VAT system, instead of the seller's VAT.
For cars that are not in the VAT system (margin taxation), VAT is not shown, so the value of the car for the lease equals the advertised price. Important: not all leasing companies finance cars outside the VAT system. That is why we check this before you choose a car - so the lease does not stop after you have already chosen.
In a listing you recognise a car in the VAT system by the net price and VAT rate below the price (Mobile.de) or by a small number 1 next to the price (AutoScout24). On both platforms you can use the filters to show only cars with deductible VAT.

It depends on the car and how quickly the leasing company processes the application. The car is most often ready for registration 10 working days after it is ready for pickup from the seller.

Send us the listing link. We will check the car and the seller, calculate an estimated PPMV and tell you what the options are and the total cost up to registration.
You do not need to contact the seller or pay a deposit before the check. From the link we see the basic data, and using the VIN we check the history, paid damage claims, documents and the CO₂ figure that matters for PPMV.

Do you only work with customers from Međimurje?
No. We are based in Čakovec and arrange car imports for customers from all over Croatia - Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Osijek, Varaždin and other cities.
We handle the whole process remotely - by phone, WhatsApp and e-mail: from sending the link and checking the car to the contract and payment. You do not have to come in person, not even to sign the contract.
